proposals

proposals.

bc i was slightly a girly girl and a romantic
i dreamt of the ultimate proposal.

it comes from movies like sweet home alabama

(the beginning part where reese witherspoon meets her fiance,
who knew mcdreamy was in this movie,
at some store and he proposes and says pick one and the lights light up and she's inside tiffany's)
and various other korean dramas
that i am sad to say influenced my thinking

but now i am more *only slightly* mature and realistic
grand proposals are expensive
the money can be spent on bigger things
like furniture for the new house, a honeymoon, a ring, future vacations, etc.

and as much as i love the boy
he is a straight up nerd...er techie.
his many gifts to me in the past are all related to technology and gadgets.
as much as i appreciate all the various electronics
(and have used them or still use them for necessary things)
these gifts are still gadget-y. its techish.

edit: don't get me wrong. i loved those gifts!
these gifts i use pretty much everyday.
and i'm glad the boy is a techie. its his charm :p

for my upcoming bday and holiday gift,
the boy bought me a purse.
we were actually in the store and i was admiring it
and he said, "you can buy it. but it will be your bday/christmas present"
so i took the deal.
disappointed in the lack of surprise, but still happy with the pretty pricey purse.

which leads me back to proposals.
i dont expect much.
and i'm patiently waiting.
trying to anyways.
