we are finally (FINALLY!) getting the ball rolling
with our two week trip to korea within the next month
yay! (completly excited for wrong reasons).
i get to officially meet the parents (mom already met)
and his sister, sister's husband, and soon to be born nephew.
we get to start some planning
maybe pick up a wedding dress?
maybe get some studio pics done?
maybe find cheap invitations?
maybe find a cheap gocco?
but as i mull over all the endless possibilities
i am learning the korean wedding tradition all over again.
In American culture,
the bride's family pays for wedding
groom pays for honeymoon and house
in Korean culture,
apparently groom pays for house
bride's family pays for things that go IN the house
and im not quite sure who pays for the wedding.
apparently, the bride is now entering the groom's family,
so there is a lot of "gifts" that needs to be given to the groom's extended family as well.
usually a blanket of some sort.
and the bride's family also pays for what the groom's parents wears to the ceremony.
along those lines
i vaguely remember something about real silver chopsticks set too.
i wish there was a blog about it.

Hi! I love your site. You have some real interested articles on your blog. In the past when I needed to
purchase about wedding favors and gifts, I used to see http://www.americanbridal.com. They carry beautiful Wedding Invitations, Wedding Programs and Thank You Cards. If you have time, check them out. Thanks!
