two weddings

first off
i am saddened by my good blogging friend
j chong's move from the dirty south
to fabulous LA.
i wish u luck there my friend!
and def i will be there to visit :)

okay. gulp yes. two weddings.
i am having two weddings.
after much thought and incredible amounts of procrastination
we had to pick a date, book plane tickets, and a venue.

to backtrack,
the boy's family is all in korea.
he is an international student.

so we def knew we were gonna have the wedding in GA
at our home church and where we first met
but we didnt know what to do IN korea.

we entertained the idea of an engagement party, or a reception,
even just a family dinner.
but my parents and i could sense the slight disappointment
in the boy's mother when we were discussing the options.

my parents were the ones who first suggested it.
they wanted to satisfy my future inlaws
and so we decided we will have a small mini wedding
in korea. and in may.
luckily, the boy's mother was so excited that she has already got the ball rolling.
she has booked our venue and our "package"
bc korean weddings are just picking the package of pictures, venue, food, etc.
there's really not that much preparation time.

we're headed off to korea tomorrow
to look at the venue, studio pics, at get ready for the may wedding.

now that was settled, we decided then we shouldnt postpone
the american wedding until september (i love fall!)
but go ahead and have it in june, a month after our korean wedding.
the june wedding will also be simple and at our church.
just family and friends :)

i still dont have a ring. the boy needs to hurry up :p
