traditional korean ceremony

when i was younger
i hated the idea of a traditional korean ceremony.
i thought the dresses were outdated and old fashioned.
i also thought the colors were too bright and ugly.

however, the older i get.
and the more i think about it
i tend to embrace my ethnicity.
(not just the kpop domain of korean music and dramas)
but more fixated on finding my true culture.

i recently purchased a book on amazon called
everlasting flower, by keith pratt
on the true history of korea (im a history buff)

and the more i stare at the vivid, awesome, colors
of a traditional korean wedding ceremony the more i get excited

this is the hanbok
out of all the authentic asian dresses,
i always thought the hanbok was kinda frumpy.
but every time i look at it,
i can see its true feminine beauty.

couple hanbok.

and this is the modern take of the hanbok.
i like these ones.
kinda scandalous though
can you imagine me wearing this at church?

its scandalous
bc the modern twists
are not as modest and so far away from the actual
