big items purchased!

now that vbs is finally over
and all my major summer job commitments is finished
the only thing left (besides highly awaiting the visit from my cousin and her cuties next week)
is slowly waiting for baby joy to get here.

we've been taking childbirth prep classes every week (5 week commitment)
we've taken a hospital tour
and i have a breastfeeding class left

man...who knew having a baby required studying?

i've also had a wakeup call when i went to the doctor's office
the nurse asked me how my nursery was shaping up
and i looked at her and said...oh not yet.
and she looks at me and goes...er you're entering your 8th month
you should start getting stuff ready

hence the mad dash of getting our big stuff items
and the plan to monthly get big expenses so that we don't have to pay for items all at once?
out the window.

thankfully, amazon is my best friend and we have prime membership with the
oh so convenient two day free shipping

my parents generously got us the babyletto mercer and modo set

as a gift to their first grandchild :P

we added this storage unit thing from costco
that can lay on the side and each empty space comes with a bin
to put toys, books, diapers, etc.
(i couldn't find the exact picture)

from there i couldn't resist the lull of etsy

and bought this deco from KnotaGeek

to put above the crib

so nursery done! except we need to get..

a mattress, crib bedding, and things to fill the dressers :)

for downstairs, one of my dad's closest friends bought me the
graco pack n play so that we don't have to walk up stairs everytime joy sleeps

and finally, we used a coupon and got a really good deal
for the britax b-agile and b-safe combo   in lime.

the combo was also a good price
but we had special ordered the lime color
and they messed up on the ordering
so even the shipping and extra special order price was deducted.
score!

however...it won't be coming until August
so we still have a couple of weeks before struggling to put it in our car
