Epics

hotlanta is living up to her name
it was hot hot hot! this weekend
all bright and shiny
when we went out to take our Epics.

we went to a cute little historic district, downtown norcross
thats 5 minutes from where we will live
(def will be back there)
and then to mcdaniel farm park

my girls all sacrificed their beauty sleep
to meet me to help me do my hair and makeup
such awesome friend.
thanks ladies :)

so we met andy and got started right away
like i said it was hot and bright :)
but fun thanks to awesome andy.
he's very into his work, climbing trees, getting on top of trashcans
it was a fun day.
and ending it with a trip to honey pig was worth it.

all pics from his blog

our fabulous photographer

i once read
that THE person during the wedding day
that the bride should be the most comfortable with
is the photographer.

and i found the most fabulous photographer ever.
well actually i dont want to claim credit
my friend, Stu knows the most fabulous photographer ever!

So my school friend Stu recently got married
(in Colorado, in GA , one left!) and he showed me his engagement session
and i slightly got jealous
bc it looked great, fabulous, and so much fun.
Stu is also a pretty cool, stylish guy so I knew his taste was good.

fast forward to March when I was desperately looking
for someone in my budget
and who could do great work in current wedidng style

when Stu suggested Andy.
i met with Andy, whose such a nice guy.
we clicked, i booked him, and we're having our E session this saturday
in historic downtown Norcross and Mcdaniel Farm Park.
i cannnnnnot wait!

to hold you guys over until Saturday (or after Saturday)
here are some images from my good friend Stuart and Paige's
trash the dress session taken by Andy

ring shots

the great mecca of wedding blogs wedding bee
had some advice on taking ring shots

it has to be natural light
it needs to be in macro mode
use a cool background

and since atL hasnt had bright sunny day
in quite some time with the snow "flurries" and all
i jumped at the chance the first bright day

as I was driving home from a quest
to find paper mache eggs for Sunday
i discovered downtown Suwanee.

there were shops along the side
with cute coffee shops and different stores
after grabbing coffee, i ventured outside with my point and shoot.

now im lazy
i actually own a SLR camera
but i didnt want to go take it out and try to take pics

resulting pics from the point and shoot
such a beautiful day so worth it
(even though pics arent that great)

korean wedding

the wedding plans for the korean wedding is proceeding quite nicely
its gonna be on may 22nd.
we booked a ceremony/reception venue

and i must say.
getting married in korea is easy! and fun!
and i guess i can gripe about how its all "packaged"
and its all uniform bc of it
but i was so impressed with the price for the package
that i dont really care to be too unique
(contrary to all my other posts)

for example:
for our studio pics we get:

  • main album
  • two mini albums for our parents
  • a full day of service of photographers from inside and outside (about 6 to 9 hours)
  • hair and makeup
  • 3 dress change plus 3 tux rental
  • shoes, veils, jewelry rental to wear in pictures
  • digital photo album with all proofs
  • professionally made digital slide show

grand total for all these items =60 man won.
which roughly is about $400 USD.
thats just for pics
but on the day of, everything! you can think of is added
and the grand total for all this is about $1500

sweet! i <3 korea
below are some pics of the venue and what it offers:

1)inside studio that is part of the studio shoot
2)the buffet/reception area

3)the wedding hall
it seats about 150
i really like the flower runway :)

4)the hallway that people enter to greet the families
before the wedding actually starts

5)paebek room
korean tradition that usually accompanies after a wedding

6)the bridal suite
for the bride to get ready in and take pics with ppl that come visit

studio pics

i am insistent that we take our "studio" pics in korea
the korean concept of wedding photography is a little diferent.
they take studio pics in their wedding dresses prior to the wedding.

all the korean studios in atL are ok.
but they have the same background and the same outfits
and everybody that uses those studios all come out looking the same.

enter studios in korea.
these pictures are gorgeous! and fun!
maybe...its bc all the girls are so stick skinny.

still... all pics taken from iwedding korea
